RKP Composites has emerged as an industry leader of top quality US and German-made carbon fiber products. RKP was responsible for bringing M3 GTS and M3 GT4 racing parts to US M3 owners, and made the transition to developing body and aerodynamic components for modern-generation BMW vehicles. With each component, RKP seeks to develop a purposeful design that accentuates and complements existing body lines found on the vehicle in question.
Applying this design methodology, RKP is excited to announce its newest release: Carbon Fiber side skirts for the F87 M2. From designing the side skirts, to making the mold and final production, everything was completed in RKP's US facility. The side skirts are constructed using a vaccum infusion process, which is one of the strongest ways to build a composite laminate. This strength is derived from an excellent carbon fiber-to-resin ratio, with no voids in the finished laminate, that comes as a result of vacuum infusion. The end product is a solid, one piece construction using only non-commercial, high-grade carbon fiber. With the process being done in the same facility from start to finish, part validation and vehicle fitment procedures can be conducted with ease, and assure quality of the final product. The side skirts mount to the vehicle via 12 self-tapping screws and double sided tape that is pre-applied on each side skirt.
