The Thermal Rejection Competition Spacer is the next step for Gen 2 B58 cars running the CSF billet Charge-Air Cooler Manifold. Machined from KIYLEX – a patented high-performance polymer as strong as aluminium and able to withstand 1100°F (approx. 593°C) – it sits between the cylinder head and the manifold, blocking conductive heat transfer from the head.

Because the CSF manifold is aluminium, it conducts head heat far more readily than the factory plastic item. The spacer absorbs and dissipates that heat instead, lowering manifold and intake air temperatures and improving charge-air cooler efficiency. It is particularly effective at drag and roll-racing events, where sitting in staging lanes with little airflow causes heavy heat soak between runs – but any car with the CSF manifold will benefit.

Please note: this spacer requires the CSF Gen 2 B58 Charge-Air Cooler Manifold (CSF-8200) and will not work with the OEM manifold.
