About the role

Evolve Automotive is looking for a practical and reliable Vehicle Fitting Technician to join our workshop team in Luton.

The role will mainly involve fitting aftermarket performance parts and carrying out routine servicing work on BMW vehicles.

We are looking for someone with good mechanical fitting skills, attention to detail and experience working professionally on cars.


Main responsibilities

  • Fit aftermarket exhaust systems, air intakes and other performance parts.

  • Fit suspension components, springs, spacers and chassis upgrades.

  • Fit brake components and carry out basic brake maintenance.

  • Carry out routine servicing, including oil changes, filters, spark plugs and vehicle checks.

  • Remove and replace mechanical components.

  • Follow fitting instructions and workshop procedures.

  • Use correct tools and torque settings.

  • Check completed work before vehicles are returned to customers.

  • Report any damaged, worn or unsafe components found during work.

  • Keep the workshop and working areas clean and organised.

  • Take care when working on customer, modified and high-value vehicles.


Essential requirements

  • Previous experience working as a vehicle technician, mechanic or automotive fitter.

  • Good practical mechanical and fitting skills.

  • Experience carrying out routine servicing.

  • Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely.

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete work accurately.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team.

  • Full UK driving licence.


Desirable experience

  • Experience working on BMW or MINI vehicles.

  • Experience fitting aftermarket or performance parts.

  • Experience with suspension, brakes, exhausts and intake systems.

  • Level 2 or Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification.

  • An interest in modified, performance or track cars.
