Security

Setting a lower ride height, using either lowering springs or coilovers, is a great way of improving the handling of your Cayman/Boxster, but a lower ride height can induce bump-steer.

Bump-steer occurs in lowered vehicles. A lower ride height alters the angles at which the steering arms and steering rack tie rods meet at the front wheel hubs. This difference in arm angle articulation reduces the range of movement available to the arms at the wheel hub. This limited range of movement causes the front toe geometry to change dynamically over bumps, leading to vague and inaccurate steering and instability.

To correct this we've developed our Suspension Secrets Adjustable Bump Steer Tie Rod Ends for the Porsche Cayman/Boxster (981). Our bump-steer tie rods are supplied with shims allowing you to fine-tune the angle of your tie rods, enabling you to complete eliminate bump-steer.
