Lowering the car’s centre of gravity — by approximately 25mm at the front and 20mm at the rear — makes a real difference to the way it drives. Body roll is noticeably reduced, turn-in feels sharper, and overall dynamics are greatly improved, all while retaining the comfort and refinement you’d expect from a BMW.

Thanks to carefully chosen progressive spring rates, low-speed ride quality remains smooth — in fact, it actually feels more composed around town. But push on, and the G90’s chassis really comes alive: it feels lighter on its feet, more direct, and properly responsive through the corners. Just what the M5 needed.

Visually, the difference is just as striking. The lower ride height gives the car a more aggressive, purposeful stance without being over-the-top.
